Tutoring Experience

I am a former RI student. I have participated in many Philosophy, Economics and Law Essay competitions organised by Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, International Economic Affairs and Singapore’s CCCS. I was shortlisted for Oxford’s John Locke Philosophy Essay competition in 2021. I have also scored As for all internal H2 Economics and H2 Physics exams, where I was the top 85th percentile. My economics essays for Promotional exams and prelims were used as modal essays. I specialise in Economics and am relatively more knowledgeable than others when it comes to the tips and tricks needed to excel, as I am up to date with the current affairs. I am experienced in exam-answering techniques and aim to impart knowledge of not just the economic syllabus, but beyond, to my tutees. I strive to ensure they would be rigorously challenged every lesson, reasonably, so as to maximise their learning. I also believe that practise makes perfect and would be more than happy to grade extra assignments tutees submit. I have been offered SMU’s prestigious and rigorous course, the Bachelor of Laws. I have tutored more than 10 students over the past year, from RGS to HCI for Maths, Physics, Chemistry, H2 Economics and H1 GP. I am currently tutoring JC students in J2 from ASRJC and ACJC for H2 Math. My tutees have given me positive feedback that I am very patient, understanding and very clear and concise with explanations. I am able to breakdown challenging questions into bite size, manageable content for my students to better comprehend. My preferred mode of tutoring is conducted online.
